I think I would have loved this if they just would have toned it down a bit. They have pumped this so full with action that there is no suspense or development of characters (except the lead). Also the constant screaming of the soldiers gets annoying. Don't know about the ending of the movie, I lost interest after about an hour.

War Machine is at the crossroads of fantasy sci-fi meets realistic military and it doesn’t disappoint. What it lacks in dialogue and character development it makes up for with a unique foreign adversary and sheer action badassery.

War machine started out with quite a bit of potential but it quickly became apparent that there were more holes in it than a block of swiss cheese. I couldn't help thinking that there were too many short cuts to get around issues. Alan Richardson is obviously comfortable in this Jack Reacher type role and it suits him but I feel he should start diversifying if he doesn't want to become type cast. All in all War Machine wasn't that bad but you have to suspend a lot of belief to enjoy it fully.
